Chatsworth Holiday Cottage is one of a group of 16 holiday cottages collectively known as Darwin Lake Holiday Cottages. All are traditionally built in Derbyshire Stone and finished to a high standard with contemporary interiors.

The cottages are maintained on a regular basis to retain their quality and all are professionally managed to ensure your holiday experience is enjoyed. All properties are professionally cleaned, inventories checked and remedial action taken specifically for your arrival. Thus avoiding or minimising the need for complaint or maintenance during your stay.

Should help be needed during your stay we ask that any visitor report any concern as soon as practicable to us on site where you can generally find us during daylight hours. Emergency numbers are left in each cottage in case of need.

Also in each cottage you will find that considerable care has been taken to ensure a good quantity of informative literature is available both about Darwin Lake and its procedures as well as comprehensive guides and idea leaflets for activities and excursions during your stay with us.

The Darwin Lake site itself is a natural haven for all kinds of wildlife; plants and animals with its expanse of water and extensive woodland grounds that are predominantly left to nature. This in order to provide a natural largely unchecked habitat for the natural flora and fauna to develop and thrive.

The cottages themselves are inspected annually by Independant bodies most notably The English Tourism Council (ECT) / Visit Britain in order that the cottages maintain their official 4 Star Rating, which indeed they have achieved each year since their first establishment.
